Classic NOCTURNUS Lineup To Reunite For Tour
August 3, 2008According to a posting on the web site of UK's "premier independent metal promoters" Arcane Promotions, the "classic lineup" of the long-defunct late '80s/early '90s American progressive death metal band NOCTURNUS will reunite for a tour where it will perform material from its acclaimed 1990 LP "The Key". So far the following dates have been announced:
Oct. 18 - London, UK @ Electrowerkz
Oct. 19 - Birmingham, UK @ The Asylum
Formed in Tampa, Florida in 1987 by ex-MORBID ANGEL drummer/vocalist Mike Browning, NOCTURNUS was known for its science-fiction themed lyrics and use of keyboards, both of which were virtually unknown in extreme metal. Although they never rose above underground cult status, they were reportedly cited as an influence by such modern metal acts as NECROPHAGIST, THEORY IN PRACTICE and CHILDREN OF BODOM.
